How to put on leather gloves
+ TOP TIP: If putting on brand new leather gloves, there could be a thread tying the pair together. Cut this thread carefully with scissors. Pulling it apart could damage the gloves before you’ve even worn them.
- Fold back the top of the glove cuff and carefully insert your fingers and thumb into the tips of the gloves’ fingers and thumb.
- Gently unfold the top of the glove back over your wrist until it is in the correct position. Don’t pull too roughly and ensure any strain is evenly spread across the leather.
- Check that the seams are straight on the gloves’ fingers, thumb, and hand. Success - your leather gloves should be correctly in place.
+ TOP TIP:If your gloves have a stud fastening (as per many leather driving gloves), undo this when putting the gloves on and fasten once the glove is in place.
+ TOP TIP: Be patient and don’t rush when putting on your leather gloves. The correct size may still feel a little snug for the first few wears, but the leather will soon stretch to fit your hand and the gloves will slip on easily in no time.
